Anorexia nervosa

Anorexia Nervosa adalah gangguan makan dan, lebih penting lagi, gangguan psikologis.
Penyebab anoreksia belum definitif didirikan, tapi harga diri dan citra tubuh isu, tekanan sosial, dan faktor genetik mungkin memainkan peran masing-masing.
Anorexia mempengaruhi perempuan jauh lebih sering daripada laki-laki dan paling sering terjadi pada remaja perempuan.
Anoreksia cenderung mempengaruhi kelas sosial ekonomi menengah dan atas dan Kaukasia lebih sering daripada kelas kurang diuntungkan dan etnis minoritas di Amerika Serikat.
Gangguan ini mempengaruhi sekitar 1% dari remaja perempuan dan sekitar 0,3% dari laki-laki di Amerika Serikat
